- Get Creative!
It's that time of the year again where fun and organised mayhem is a prerequisite, with the approach of the 6th Annual Japanese Language Performance Day & the 3rd Creative Art Exhibition which will be held on Sunday, 24th November at the Japan Cultural Centre Sydney, Gallery. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this event, this is a non-competitive fun day for children of all ages, (from Pre-school to Secondary students) who may be studying Japanese, to express their feelings about Japan and the Japanese language and culture in a creative way. The types of presentations and topics are created and produced by students themselves and in the past we have had the pleasure of seeing many talented, witty and artistic presentations.

The performances range from skits, written and performed by students, to Japanese songs (from the traditional to modern 'J-pop') and traditional Japanese folk dances. We would like to extend an invitation to all children who are interested in Japan, Japanese language teachers and students to get involved in this event. For those of you who are unable to attend the event, please do not be discouraged as it is possible to submit artwork or video presentations (which will also be presented on the day).

If you wish to obtain the guidelines and application forms for this event please contact Nanayo on Ph: (02) 9922 0025; Fax: (02) 9957 6789; Email: Nanayo_Kato-Wilder@jpf.org.au.

Details and application forms are also available from our website www.jpf.org.au (in the Sydney Language Centre section).
