The
Sydney Language Centre's 10th Anniversary Forum |
| |
As part of our 10th Anniversary celebrations
The Sydney Language Centre recently staged
a unique event held over two nights on the 21st and 22nd of March,
a forum entitled, 'Senpai to Katarou'.
This event was designed to inspire and encourage people who have an
interest in Japan, by allowing them a chance to meet and listen to
Australians (from a diverse range of fields and age groups) talk about
their areas of expertise as well as their own personal experiences
of Japan. The topics of the lectures therefore ranged from employment
(in Japan or with a Japanese company), marketing and education, to
talks about personal experiences of the Japanese language, culture
and daily life, especially as exchange students. It was a great pleasure
to see such an enthusiastic audience who really enjoyed not only the
talks, but developing their own networks at the forum. We would like
to thank all those who attended the Forum and help make the occasion
such a success.
We would also particularly like to thank all the speakers (listed
below), who by sharing their knowledge and personal experiences ensured
that the event was both interesting and memorable.
